WELCOME TO ST MARY MAGDALEN'S CATHOLIC PRIMARY AND NURSERY SCHOOL

On behalf of the children, staff, and governors, I warmly welcome you to St Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Primary School.
I hope you find our website clear and informative, giving you a true flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the achievements of our pupils and the high-quality education we provide.

As a Catholic school, our mission shapes everything we do. We seek to praise God, love one another, learn together, respect everyone, and shine as unique individuals in God’s world. This mission inspires us to nurture every child so they grow in faith, flourish academically, and develop into compassionate, responsible young people.

If you would like any further information or are considering a place for your child, please make an appointment to visit. We would be delighted to welcome you and show you our school in action.

Roadworks - Message from BHCC Transport Team
Dear Parents and Carers Please see message below from Brighton and Hove Transport Team: "Work is scheduled to begin on Monday 1st September to redesign the junction of Dyke Road and Upper North Street and is scheduled to last 10 weeks. The work includes the removal of the traffic lights, replacing them with a new ‘T’ junction. We are also replacing the signalised pedestrian crossings with central islands and a zebra crossing on Upper North Street. We carried out a consultation for this project last summer which received 64 responses. Most supported the proposed changes. Concerns were raised about speeding and crossing the road. This led to us altering the design to include a zebra crossing on Upper North Street and a vehicle activated speed sign. Roads will be kept open for the majority of the work. When central islands are being installed at the end of the project, there will be overnight road closures in place. Further details on this will be confirmed closer to the time but access to properties will still be provided. If you have any questions regarding the project, please don’t hesitate to contact transport.projects@brighton-hove.gov.uk. For more information on the project please visit www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/dyke-road-improvements. We thank you in advance for your patience during the construction period." Thanks SMM
